Most businesses that adopt AI never move the needle. Not because the tools are bad, but because they bolt AI onto a mess. A shiny chatbot sits on top of a broken follow-up process, an inbox with no owner, quotes tracked in someone's head. The tool works and the business feels exactly the same.
The trick is knowing what actually needs automating. That means looking at the business first: where the time really goes, which handoffs drop the ball, what quietly leaks revenue every week. Get that map right and AI has something real to grab onto. Skip it and you have bought a faster way to run a process that was never working.
